The Institution gives “green light” to the project called “Real Escuela Torreluna Campus”.
The Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre (REAAE), a foundation dependent on the Ministry of Tourism, Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration of the Andalusian Regional Government, has today, December 1st, inaugurated the beginning of the “Campus Real Escuela Torreluna” course in Carmona, which will be extended, in a first stage, until the month of July of the next year.
This project is based on the concept of Extended Education and will offer training that combines the experience and knowledge of the REAAE teacher training with the horses and facilities offered by Torreluna in Carmona (Seville).
Ten students will be selected who, for an initial period of seven months, will work with horses and foals in dressage, offering them the knowledge so that, in the first year, they can deal with the presentation of stallions in competitions, the selection of foals and their dressage according to their characteristics, as well as the preparation of horses for shows.
The daily work, which will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will consist of horse care, team training and riding. There will also be theoretical instruction on what is practiced on the track, in logical sequence, as well as knowledge of Hippology and stable management.
The project foresees that the training will be extended for four years, progressively advancing in the necessary equestrian technique for each of the horses depending on their particularities.
In the words of the director of the REAAE, Jorge Ramos, “from here and with the collaboration of the “El Marengo” stud farm, located in Temécula (California), the aim is to continue with the internationalization of the Real Escuela, in this case, in its educational facet”.
