The inaugural NC 2018 USPRE High Series is now one for the record books. Congratulations to National Champion Katie Poag at Training Level with a 72.06 on Dollar CDF, and FEI Champion Barbara Bonk on Centeno XII at I1 with a final score of 63.3! Nine horses and riders competed in 4 shows in March through June. Riders had the opportunity to ride in the Eastern, Central, and Western portions of the state. There was a fairly even distribution of 5 adult amateurs and 4 professionals who participated in the series. Coves Darden Farm (Aiken, SC) was highly represented with 5 horses competing in the series (including Champion Dollar CDF). The High Point Awards at individual shows were highly competitive with victors often winning with less than 1 percentage point. Looking forward to even more horses and riders participating in this exciting dressage program in 2019. Congratulations to all participants, here’s to a successful remainder of the season, and competitive rides in 2019.
