The 2016 USDF All Breeds season concluded on October 1st, and at last weekend’s USDF Annual Conference, the All Breeds awards winners for USPRE were recognized. The USDF All Breeds Program tracks scores for all horses within a breed registry, identifying the top examples of the breed at all competitive dressage levels. Criteria of number of shows, variation of judges, minimum scores, etc. are established by USDF which oversees the program. The USPRE All Breeds Program represents the PRE Horse in the United States, with all equine participants being registered in Spain with LG-ANCCE.
In the early years of our association, PREs were rare in the American dressage circuits, but with the growth of the popularity of the breed as a dressage horse, the numbers of our All Breeds winners also have increased. This year is the biggest year yet for our national USDF rankings. 72 Horses/Riders earned national rankings for USPRE, including 12 AA Pairs, more than 40 Open Pairs, and 6 Vintage Riders.
