February Featured Stallion: ACERTIJO JIM

XAVIER FARMS presents Acertijo JIM – ATHLETIC. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL. The Ultimate in the Spanish Performance Sport Horses.

We fell in love with Acertijo the minute we laid eyes on him.  He bounded out of his stall and commanded the arena with his massive movement, beautiful dapple grey coat and flowing black mane.  Acertijo carries the core values of Xavier Farm’s breeding program of “Athletic. Bold. Beautiful.”    Acertijo passes his wonderful temperament, large bone, and remarkable movement to his offspring.

Acertijo was bred in Mexico by Hacienda Santa Lucia which is most famous for breeding horses with movement.  His exceptional bloodlines include Albero II who has passed along his famous movement and athletic ability.   Acertijo’s sire, Hilandero XVI, was imported from the breeding farm of Don Joaquin Conesa.  Hilandero has won many titles and passes his success to his offspring.

Acertijo has proven his athletic ability and versatility with his many titles throughout his life.  2013 was an outstanding year for Acertijo winning the coveted title of IALHA National Grand Champion Senior Stallion 5 Years and Over with Reserve National Champion Best Movement.  He also proved his versatility by winning Reserve Champion titles in both the Spanish and IALHA Functionality and the Champion titles in several driving classes.    Following this successful year, 2014 found Acertijo JIM in the foundation of his classical dressage training, with Francisco Josė García Ibañez, “Specialist Master Rider”, from the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art.  He was training at third level and showing the versatility and athleticism of this incredible stallion.

Acertijo is inscribed and revised with ANCCE and is registered with IALHA.  His color genetics are EeAaNG which allow him to have black, bay, chestnut, and grey foals when bred with the right mare.
