Farewell to D. Juan Carlos Altamirano

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that USPRE announces the passing of its friend and colleague – 

D. Juan Carlos Altamirano

 A consummate Gentleman, prolific Author, and world respected Historian D. Juan Carlos died quietly in his home in Malaga on Saturday, October 6th 2012 following a long illness.

D. Juan Carlos developed an extensive body of research on the Pure Spanish Horse (P.R.E.) and published over a dozen books which were distributed internationally. D. Juan Carlos also served as the Chairman of the USPRE Heritage Committee since 1998.

We celebrate his life and extend our deepest sympathies to his Family.
