USPRE Regional Directors

The USPRE Regional Directors

At the USPRE Annual Meeting in Wellington in February 2011, the membership voted on and approved a proposal to add Regional Directors to the organizational structure of USPRE. Regional Directors are USPRE members, breeders and riders who volunteer to act as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the membership, to keep members in their regions aware of upcoming events and important issues, assisting members with information, and planning activities in the region.

We are proud to introduce your new Regional Directors:

Western Region Director – Cindy Ramirez-Smith

Cindy Ramirez

Cindy Ramirez-Smith is a professional Dressage rider and trainer, who was this year’s Grand Champion of the California High Point Series with her PRE stallion Decoroso. She has her own training business in Santa Barbara, California, where she lives with her husband Eric. Cindy looks forward to connecting to more riders of PRE horses and to working with other USPRE members helping build the various California Dressage and Breeder initiates for USPRE. She can be contacted at allbayhorses@yahoo.com.

Central Region Director – Maureen Sharp

Maureen Sharp

Maureen Sharp is a PRE Breeder from Hudson, Michigan. She and her husband Cludies own and manage Red Raven Farm in Hudson, a PRE breeding facility.  Maureen has been a volunteer for USPRE events for several years in both Florida and Michigan, where she has had many opportunities to use her strong organizational and social skills. Maureen is hoping to build a network of PRE Breeders in the Midwest and Central US for the prospects of bringing more PRE events to the heartland. She may be contacted at mrosesharp1@yahoo.com.

Eastern Region Director – Linda Michelle Reed

Linda Michelle Reed

Linda is an amateur Dressage rider and full-time owner of Kindred Spirit Horse Farm. Linda is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, is a passionate PRE-lover with two PRE’s and an enthusiastic member of USPRE. She is hoping to bring together the East Coast membership and help the riders and breeders of PRE horses there to be better informed of the services available to them through USPRE. Linda lives with her husband, Michael and two young sons in ¬†Monroeville, New Jersey. She may be contacted at ReedRanch@comcast.net .

All three Regional Directors are planning to come to Wellington, Florida, on February 17 2012 to meet with the Board and any other members who are planning to attend our “Love Your PRE” event at the Global Dressage Festival. All members will be hearing from their Regional Directors in the near future.
