Undeniable passion for one of nature’s most beautiful animals, combined with a rare an innate talent, has led equine artist Jorge Montalvo Flores to devote his life’s work to the Horses of Spain. Jorge’s steadfast dedication to the study of the traits and morphology of the horse is reflected in nearly 800 original masterpieces. His singular style and sensitive eye are revealed in paintings and sculptures in diverse formats, making use of some of the most complex techniques ever applied within the various media of watercolor, marble, fine serpentine stone, iron and other metallic elements.
Jorge Montalvo’s work has been recognized by experts and critics from both the art and equine worlds, and his works have come to be appreciated from the artistic as well as technical points of view. Jorge Montalvo’s art is found in many important private and public collections. His work is part of the holdings of prominent organizations such as the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art ; the private collections of Royal Families and Heads of State.
Jorge Montalvo will be in attendance at Fiesta Midwest to meet Breeders between June 5th and June 8th 2008.
